Solve crisis the way early settlers did
We are facing a crisis in government. A virus, in the form of liberalism and socialism, has infected the fabric of our Constitution. The first visible impact occurred during the Presidency of Franklin Delano Roosevelt. Massive and numerous entitlement programs were enacted under the guise of helping a nation in distress. It did little to cure our ills or foster self-reliance. Citizens became comfortable with the safety nets that were now in place, unaware the nets served to ensnare a willing, compliant and complacent populace.
People who were once motivated, ambitious, responsible and accountable were now happy to embrace a new world order that replaced the pursuit of happiness with a guarantee of happiness. The necessities of food, clothing, shelter, education, transportation and medical care that once required hard work and sacrifice to realize their fulfillment were but a phone call or visit to the local government office away.
Liberalism and progressivism steadily infiltrated our government office-holders, the courts, our schools, our media outlets and virtually every facet of our existence. Legislation was enacted and controls placed on the food we eat, the clothes we wear, the house we live in, the car we drive, the words we speak and the very fabric of our existence. Every time we gave up a freedom, the constricting coils of government wrapped ever so tightly around our collective conscience, our bodies, our minds and our wills.
The legislative, executive, and judicial branches of government have been corrupted and have rendered our Constitution inoperable. Regulations and government bureaucracies that are being enacted at breakneck speed have stifled our economy and the human spirit that once exemplified the American Dream of boundless opportunities.
The firewalls of the Constitution that once protected Americans and our democratic form of government have been breeched. The very people we elected and who swore to uphold that our Constitution have betrayed that confidence and embarked on a path of creating a nation alien to our core principles and tenets. The life cycle of our democracy, conceived by our Founding Fathers, has run its course. It is time to cast aside our governmental representatives, as did our Revolutionary Patriots cast aside the British tyrants, and start our country anew. We owe our children and grandchildren nothing more and nothing less.
