Health bill makes college accessible

While I have issues with the health insurance bill, I give President Obama and his administration the praise they are due for the passage of the Health Care and Education Reconciliation Act.

In 1977, my college funding package included a Pell Grant and a low interest government loan. I am encouraged that millions more Americans will now be able to afford a college education and earn degrees and certificates. In addition they will be able to repay the loans in workable way with the bill placing a cap on a graduate's annual student loan repayment at 10 percent of his or her income.
