Fire in garage in Carpentersville

C'ville garage fire: No one was injured Thursday in a garage fire in Carpentersville, officials said.

Firefighters responded about 6 p.m. to a "fully involved" six-car, detached garage across the street from a townhouse complex on the 2300 block of Silverstone Drive. Batallion Chief Larry Campbell said the fire was under control within 15 minutes, and no one was hurt. He said damage was limited to about half of the garage.

The cause remained under investigation.
