Antioch to hold its first of four craft fairs this year
Crafts lovers will descend on Antioch this weekend for the village's Summer Arts and Craft Faire.
Scheduled for Saturday and Sunday in the downtown area, the event will feature artists and dealers at 150 booths. Artwork and homemade crafts made of a variety of materials will be for sale, as well as jewelry, candles, purses, baked goods and quilts. Seasonal decorations also should be available.
The event is expected to draw crafters from around the country, not just the Antioch area, as well as thousands of attendees.
Free parking will be available throughout the downtown area.
The event is organized by the Antioch Chamber of Commerce. It hosts four craft fairs every year.
The fall event is scheduled for Sept. 11-12. Vendor applications for that event are available online at antiochchamber.org, but they must be printed and mailed to the chamber of commerce. Applications can be mailed to: The Antioch Chamber of Commerce, 882 Main St., Antioch, IL 60002.
