Hawks' Smith takes page out of Noah's book
Joakim Noah: Often imitated, never duplicated.
As the Atlanta Hawks prepared to travel to Milwaukee for Game 3 of their playoff series, forward Josh Smith submitted a chapter for Noah's upcoming NBA travel guide.
For background, the Hawks played Miami last year in the first round of the playoffs. So Thursday, Smith was asked about the team's upcoming stay in Brewtown.
"There's pretty much nothing to do," Smith said. "Miami has some really good restaurants. I never really did anything in Milwaukee. I would be happy to just find a restaurant. I'm not bashing the city, but I've never actually did anything in Milwaukee, so I really don't know what is around there."
Atlanta Journal Constitution writer Michael Cunningham described a funny scene, with longtime Hawks media relations maven Arthur Triche catching on and trying to steer Smith down a different path. But J-Smoove was having none of it.
"Would you go there?" Smith continued. "Everybody knows there ain't nothing to do in Milwaukee, man. Everybody knows that, (even) the people that live there."
That's not true. Wisconsin residents just tailored their interests based on what's plentiful - beer and brats, right?
