Letter: Glad tapes were shared

House Speaker Kevin McCarthy is allowing Tucker Carlson and his team of investigators to review the Jan. 6 tapes. Brilliant move.

First, it will save time and effort by the House to investigate all theories related to the Capitol riots.

Second, it will free up manpower in the House of Representatives to carry on other vital government business.

Third, there is no legitimate concern over breaching the security of the U.S. Capitol. Nancy Pelosi has already cherry-picked portions of the security tape to release to the public. Remember the videos of the rioters on the nightly broadcast news?

And finally, it's not costing the taxpayers any money.
