Care packages from Batavia Cares, Marmion to troops on hold

As of March 1, Batavia Cares and Marmion Academy had to stop shipping packages to troops in Afghanistan and Iraq due to lack of postage funds.

Many packages are packed and ready to go but without the funds to ship them they will sit until postage is available.

To help Marmion and Batavia Cares continue to ship to the troops send a check to Attn: Troop Support, Marmion Academy, 1000 Butterfield Road, Aurora, IL 60502. The troops in Afghanistan especially need your support as there are very few military exchanges for them to buy hygiene items or any other products.

Shipments of shampoo, deodorant, toothpaste and brushes, socks, snacks, reading material and other comfort items are waiting to be shipped and with the help of Americans at home they will not be forgotten. Batavia Cares wants to thank Delnor Hospital, J.B. Nelson School and the people who have donated items to be shipped. For more information, visit bataviacares.org.
