Low-cost pet vaccinations in Round Lake

The Lake County Health Department is offering a low-cost pet vaccination clinic from 9 a.m. to noon, Saturday, Oct. 16 at the Round Lake Area Park District's Harts Woods Park pavilion, 814 Hart Road (Route 134 and Hart Road), Round Lake.

Donations of pet food, litter and supplies will also be accepted to benefit The Pooch Pantry, a pet food and supply source for needy families.

Some of the costs: are $20 for a one-year rabies vaccination and Lake County tag for spayed and neutered pets; $10 for distemper only and $15 for microchip. Pets will be taken on a first-come, first-served basis. All animals brought to the clinic must be at least 4 months old. Dogs must be leashed and cats placed in carriers.
