New music fest in Milwaukee called 'Verge'

MILWAUKEE -- The new music festival along Milwaukee's lakefront now has a name.

The nonprofit group that puts on Summerfest, Milwaukee World Festival, Inc., says the alternative and modern rock festival will be called "Verge."

Milwaukee World Festival says it received submissions from all over the world and "Verge" won by a narrow margin. The winning submission came from Milwaukee area resident Katie Kostuck.

The festival takes place June 4 and June 5 and bands include Weezer, Three Days Grace and the AFI.
