Maggie Daley undergoing surgery
Chicago Mayor Richard Daley's office says his wife has undergone surgery in her ongoing fight against cancer.
An orthopedic oncologist performed Friday's procedure at Northwestern Memorial Hospital to address pain in Maggie Daley's right leg and reduce the risk of a fracture.
A spokeswoman for the mayor, Jodi Kawada, declined to provide details. But she says Chicago's first lady is doing well after the surgery.
Daley's had radiation treatment in that leg to treat a cancerous bone lesion. She's been fighting metastatic breast cancer since 2002.
