Republicans didn't hold up health vote
Democrats are claiming victory over Republicans with their recent passage of the President's health care plan, however it wasn't Republicans that had to be bribed, intimidated and/or bamboozled into voting for the bill. It was fellow Democrats in the Congress who had to be conquered. Most of those Democrats had good reasons to oppose the bill, none more important than the overwhelming opposition to this flawed plan by the public. Some Democrats pretended to be undecided until the last moments to fool their constituents.
Eventually promises, lies and threats caused those Democrats to sell out or caved in. Chicago-style politics took the national stage and now the Democrats expect us to appaud. Their act deserves no stars.
