Man dies from crash with Indianapolis school bus

INDIANAPOLIS -- Police say a driver was fatally injured when his car swerved into the path of an Indianapolis school bus.

Police Lt. Jeff Duhamell says bus was heading to Broad Ripple High School with 19 students when the crash happened Friday morning. One was taken to a hospital with non-life threatening injuries and five others complained of pain.

After the crash on Keystone Avenue near the Indiana State Fairgrounds, the bus drove over the curb and through the front yards of two homes before stopping across a driveway.

Duhamell says 22-year-old Keon Wills of Indianapolis died at a hospital about two hours after the crash. Duhamell says the car was traveling erratically before the crash, but it wasn't immediately known whether drugs or alcohol were involved.
