It's time to wake up and fight back

I was sleeping. I'm over 50. As I look back on over 30 working years, I now realize that, with all of the taxes that I've paid (state and local income tax, real estate tax, sales tax, etc.), over 10 of those working years were not for the benefit of my family. They were to pay taxes to a bloated, overreaching government that does not have my best interest at heart. More than 10 years!

I now look at the ridiculous budget proposed by the Obama administration, which will add, year after year, trillions more to our deficit and put us so far into debt that it virtually guarantees that my children and my grandchildren will be forced into virtual indentured servitude to the likes of Obama and his "progressive" cronies with their failed radical left, socialist philosophy.

I subscribe to one simple philosophy, one that's withstood the test of time for more than 230 years: "give me liberty, or give me death!" If the "progressives" think that their ever-changing, power-grasping philosophy can win the day against the time tested virtue of liberty, then I only have one thing to say: bring it on.

I'm awake.
