Red Stars top Sky Blue FC 2-0

Forward Ella Masar scored her fourth goal in four games, and the Chicago Red Stars earned their first victory over the defending league champion in Women's Professional Soccer action at Toyota Park.

Entering the match, Sky Blue (5-5-3) had a 5-0-1 all-time record against Chicago, but the Red Stars benefited from Masar's continual offensive surge, as well as an own goal scored by New Jersey's Daphne Koster.

Masar now leads the Red Stars in goals with 4. The Red Stars (4-5-5) extended their undefeated streak to four games, which ties the franchise record established at the start of the 2009 season.
