There's no logic to progressive thought

I read Eugene Robinson's column regarding global warming or climate change or what ever they are calling it now.

I understand the people behind this movement are not interested in debating anything to do with this subject and their latest stance furthers this position, but it also brings into question their logic, their sanity and their overall ability to use reason.

The planet has warmed and cooled many times over the last 4 billion years but this time it is different. This time it is caused by man and the only way we can save ourselves is to pay more taxes and invest heavily in unproven items likely to lose money.

Forget the fact that there has been no warming in 15 years, forget the monster snow storms and record setting cold summer. Forget the data that was left off reports that didn't agree with the points the scientists wanted to make.

The people who put all this information together are intelligent, they all have degrees and on top of that they are much more caring then the average person so the rest of us morons need to forget anything we have heard or read that would question the science or the motives behind the science and climb on board.

Sure it will further harm the economy and destroy many industries and maybe it could become the tipping point for an already shaky economy and that this could be a the perfect scam since there will never be anyway to tell if it worked. Relax with the knowledge that your money is all gone, but hey, I saved the world. I think.

Maybe Eugene's next column will tell us how the President's trillion dollar health care reform won't cost anything.
