Instead of criticizing look at the positive

It is no secret that I am not an admirer of many policies and activities of the current Congress and administration. But I think they and the agencies supplying aid to Haiti are being given a bad rap because of "delays." It isn't as though there were planes and ships loaded with relief supplies just sitting on runways and in ports waiting for a disaster to happen. Aid materials had to be brought in, loaded, transported. And, speaking of transportation, the international airport in Haiti (not O'Hare or LAX when in perfect running order) was seriously damaged; the main port facilities rendered at best barely usable. Once usable, the airport as with any similar facility, has limitations. Midair collisions of relief flights would not be an assist to the rescue effort.

So critics, take a breath and focus on what has been accomplished - a lot in a relatively short period of time under extremely adverse circumstances.
