Big Bowl has new vegetarian menu options that include a cilantro salad, crispy tofu, unfried rice and the Lucky 8 eight types of veggies sauteed in sesame soy sauce. Additionally, pot stickers received a makeover to include more napa cabbage and less bok choy in addition to edamame for better crunch and texture. The menu also includes the ever-popular stir fry bar.

Sweet specials
The Grotto Oak Brook is celebrating Sweetest Day with a four-course prix fixe menu for $44.95 per person on Saturday, Oct. 16. Dinner includes a mixed-green salad, lobster bisque soup, a petite filet with grilled asparagus, lump crabmeat and béarnaise sauce, and for dessert: fresh strawberries covered with chocolate and stuffed with mascarpone and Grand Marnier.

Braxton tasting
Stop in for a taste at Braxton Seafood. The chef has a special four-course tasting menu on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday, Oct. 19-21 for $29 per person. The tasting includes roasted crimson beets and chive crepe, entree options of grilled swordfish or Meyer Ranch braised short ribs, and a dessert of orange cream chocolate tart. Add wine pairings for $18.
