Letter: Spring cleanup needed along roadways

Now that winter is over, we are seeing litter everywhere because of poorly designed container lids. Many lids are lightweight and have a lip that loves to catch the wind. Poor design. Drive down Palatine Road, Ela, Barrington, Huntington, Dundee, Lake Cook, Golf, Higgins and you'll see plenty of litter on both sides of the roads. One particular cabinet has been on Palatine Road for a couple of months. No one saw that from any village truck driving by?

Crystal Lake has already had crews out for weeks, but I don't see any others doing it. Looks terrible.
