Boeing pushes back third Dreamliner flight
Boeing Co. moved the first flight of its third 787 Dreamliner, ZA003, into March to allow more time to complete work and to install test equipment on the aircraft, a spokeswoman said today.
"We're taking some extra time to get in the air but we will be able to fly more often sooner in its flight test schedule, which will be an overall benefit to the program," spokeswoman Lori Gunter said in an e-mailed statement. "This is considered a typical adjustment to the flight test program and a smart move overall."
Some of the test equipment had been planned for installation after the first flight, she said.
