Library to name leaderMary Ellen Stembal will be named acting director of the Cook Memorial Public Library District at the board's meeting Tuesday, Feb. 16. Now the assistant director of the Libertyville-based district, she'll replace Dan Armstrong, who is retiring and essentially finished working at the library last week. Stembal will fill in until a permanent director can be named.Blood drive in MillburnMillburn Congregational United Church of Christ, at Route 45 and Grass Lake Road, will host a blood drive from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 21. Lawrence and Grayslake Chamber of Commerce college scholarships. Two $1,000 scholarships will be awarded to students with high academic performance, involvement in school activities and commitment to a business-related field of study at a four-year college. All high school seniors living within Grayslake village limits or attending classes at Grayslake High School District 127's buildings are eligible.
