Carpentersvillebull; Tiyanna M. Small, 31, of the 0-100 block of Middlesex Drive, was charged with theft Monday, after police said she stole a wallet on Jan. 15 that contained $312. Her bail was set Tuesday morning at $20,000 and she is due in court Feb. 9 at the Kane County Judicial Center.Elginbull; Arthur J. Bunker, 67, of the 13700 block of Wilshire Way, Huntley, was arrested and charged with criminal trespassing at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Grand Victoria Casino, reports said. Bunker won $1,656 at a slot machine, but did not try to collect it because he is on the casino's self-banned list, reports said.bull; A man left his wallet at a gas station in the 600 block of Villa Street at about 8:30 a.m. Tuesday. It was later found, but missing $375, reports said.bull; Two or three shots were fired in the 400 block of Prospect Street at about 10:34 p.m. Tuesday. "Most of our burglaries are unlocked (vehicles)," Deputy Chief Todd Fulton said. "If people just locked their doors, they would be OK."bull; When police pulled over a 24-year-old Elgin man for driving without a rear license plate light on Saturday, Jan. 30, they discovered he had seven outstanding warrants, police said. Jesus Ruiz of the 500 block of Standish Street was charged with driving while license revoked and cited for the missing light and driving without insurance. The warrants included four from Elgin and one each from Cook, Kane and DuPage counties for, among other offenses, driving while license revoked, failure to appear in court and possession of marijuana. Police took Ruiz to the McHenry County jail. He must post $4,700 to be released.bull; Someone broke into a house under construction on the 12200 block of Glazier Street, damaging the door and frame, police said. Nothing was taken from the house in the incident, which occurred on Sunday, Jan. 31.
