Larkin dancers to present 'Alice'

Looking forward to the release of the Tim Burton film of "Alice in Wonderland?"

You don't have to wait until March 5 to get your "Alice" fix. This weekend, Larkin High School's Visual and Performing Arts Academy Dancers will present their own adaptation of Lewis Carroll's classic tale.

Performances are set for 7 p.m. today, Feb. 12; and 3 and 7 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 13. Ticket prices are $5 for students and seniors and $8 for adults. All shows will be held in the Larkin High School auditorium, 1475 Larkin Ave., Elgin. Tickets may be purchased at the door or in advance by calling (847) 888-5200.

The academy's adaptation of "Alice in Wonderland" is its ninth annual "Bring a Book to Life" production. Kelly Hill is the director of the dance academy.
