Resources for surviving the economy seminar in Buffalo Grove

The Buffalo Grove Area Chamber of Commerce, the Village of Buffalo Grove and Lake County Commissioner David Stolman are co-hosting a Resources for Surviving the Economy Event 4-7 p.m. Thursday, March 4, at the Grove Banquets at the Schwaben Center, 301 N. Weiland Road in Buffalo Grove. The event is being sponsored by Attorneys' Title Guaranty Fund, Inc.

This event is directed to those being effected by today's economy and will include exhibits, resources, half-hour mini-seminars, individual resume review and networking.

The scheduled mini-seminars are Preparing Your Resume (4:15 p.m.), Modifying Your Mortgage Loan (4:45 p.m.), Jump-start Your Job Search (5:30 p.m.) and Fix Your Credit (6:15 p.m.). Professionals will also be on hand to review your resume.

The list of exhibitors includes: Attorneys' Title Guaranty Fund, Illinois Real Estate Lawyers Association, Career Resource Center of Lake Forest, College of Lake County, Harper College, Robert Morris University, Illinois Department of Employment Security WorkNet Center, Job Center of Lake County, Workforce Development Department of Lake County, Jewish Vocational Service, Affordable Housing Corporation of Lake County, Neighborhood Housing Services, Northwest Housing Partnership, Indian Trails Public Library, Vernon Area Public Library, financial consultants, insurance brokers and mortgage brokers.
