Mayor Pradel Announces Campaign Kickoff Event
Mayor Pradel's reelection campaign is kicking off with an event organized by Citizens to Re-Elect Mayor Pradel. The Kickoff will be held on November 22, from 5 to 7 PM at the Judd Kendall VFW Post 3873, on 908 W. Jackson in Naperville.
The public is invited to attend and show their support for Mayor Pradel and his sixteen years of leadership in the Naperville community. This free event gives people the chance to meet and talk to the mayor.
“Being the mayor of Naperville is about finding consensus and getting people to work together; if anyone can do that, it's Mayor Pradel,” Rebecca Boyd-Obarski, co-chair of Citizens to Re-Elect Mayor Pradel said. “He has been a steady hand guiding the city through difficult times. He knows how to build bridges and relationships, something anyone who attends the kickoff event will see firsthand. He is the longest-serving mayor of Naperville for a reason.”
In his time as mayor, Pradel has helped attract major employers to Naperville, supported businesses and not-for profit agencies, reached out to residents, enhanced good will throughout the community, and promoted Naperville as it earned national and international acclaim.
Having lived in Naperville since he was a child, Pradel not only understands Naperville's history, he has lived it. He served as a police officer for 29 years and was known as “Officer Friendly” and assisted in founding Safety Town. He also has served on the United Way Campaign, the Sister Cities Commission, the DuPage Children's Museum Board of Directors, and the Police and Fire Pension Boards, among many others.
