Naperville police seek hit-and-run driver
A 21-year-old man was hospitalized after being struck by a hit-and-run driver early Saturday morning while walking at the intersection of Chicago Avenue and Washington Street in downtown Naperville.
The injured pedestrian was taken to Edward Hospital, police said. His injuries were not believed to be life-threatening.
Police said the man was in the crosswalk on the south side of the intersection about 1:50 a.m. when he was struck by what witnesses described as an older model compact car that appeared either silver or dark in color. The vehicle left the scene going south on Washington Street.
