Illinois willing to play Wildcats at Wrigley
Illinois Athletic Director Ron Guenther says the Illini are willing to play their football game this fall against Northwestern at Wrigley Field.
The game is scheduled to be played at Northwestern's Ryan Field on Nov. 20.
But Northwestern Athletic Director Jim Phillips last week said the game could be moved to Wrigley if the needed financial and logistical questions can be worked out.
Guenther says the decision is in the hands of Northwestern officials because it's their home game. He adds that the Illini aren't willing to sacrifice a future home game to make a date at Wrigley happen.
