St. Charles police seek man for obscene behavior
St. Charles police are looking for a man who was seen sniffing packaged women's undergarments at Target last week, and later grabbed a woman's buttocks in a nearby parking lot.
Officers responded to the 3700 block of East Main Street on Jan. 5 after a woman called 911, saying the man had squeezed her buttocks and said, "Hey, baby," while she loaded her infant child into a car seat outside the DuPage Medical Group office.
Police spokesman Paul McCurtain said investigators canvassed the area and determined the same man was spotted a short time earlier "sniffing ladies underwear and winking at female customers" in Target's intimate apparel department, one block away.
McCurtain said the suspect fled in a dark-colored Jeep Liberty or similar style of sport utility vehicle.
He was described as a black man, 250 to 275 pounds and about 6-foot-3 wearing a black hooded sweatshirt and gray sweatpants.
Anyone with information on the suspect is asked to call Detective Drew Lamela at (630) 443-3743.
