Soap Box Derby
The Greater Chicago Soap Box Derby Association hosts its Soap Box Derby event for youth ages 8 to 17. Youngsters can stop by for some free runs in a derby car. They can bring a sibling or a friend to race against each other. Soap box derby cars will be provided on a first-come, first-served basis. Spectators can bring lawn chairs for viewing.

Spaghetti, anyone?
The Community Protestant Church, United Church of Christ in Mundelein invites the public to its Spaghetti Dinner and Silent Auction. Dinner includes spaghetti and meatballs, salad, bread, dessert and drinks. The evening includes a silent auction, with items donated by Chicago sports teams, local theaters, restaurants and entertainment venues.
