Arlington Heightsbull; Vandals cut the head off two plywood angels in a yard on the 500 block of North Derbyshire Avenue around 7:30 a.m. Dec. 30. Damage was estimated at $500.bull; Thieves stole a coat and wallet after a female customer left her coat in a shopping cart at the Salvation Army store, 250 W. Rand Road, around 2:20 p.m. Jan. 2. Value was estimated at $85.bull; Burglars broke into a 2004 Mustang convertible in a driveway on the 3100 block of North Wilshire Lane between 12:30 and 3:30 a.m. Jan. 2 and stole a radar detector, iPod, and GPS unit. Value was estimated at $780.bull; Burglars broke into a 2006 Volkswagen Jetta on the 1500 block of Courtland Drive between 6 p.m. Dec. 31 and 10 a.m. Jan. 1 and stole a GPS valued at $200.bull; Burglars stole a GPS unit, cigarette lighter adapter, and cell phone charger out of a 2001 Jeep Grand Cherokee in an apartment lot on the 600 block of West Rand Road between 7 p.m. Dec. 30 and 9 a.m. Dec. 31. Value was estimated at $278.bull; Burglars broke the padlock on a semitrailer at Noff's Moving and Storage, 1235 E. Davis St., between noon Dec. 22 and noon Dec. 29 and stole five two-wheel hand carts and a tool set. Rooney, 19, of the 1500 block of Bedlington Drive, Inverness, were arrested around 1 a.m. Dec. 31 on Barrington Road at Cornell and charged with consumption of alcohol by a minor.
