Baseball tourney to benefit military families

The Buffalo Grove Bulldogs baseball team will host a tournament to benefit the National Military Family Association from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. Saturday, June 19, at Alexian Field in Schaumburg.

Teams participating in the "Buffalo Grove Bulldogs Charity Invitational" include the Bulldogs, Algonquin Hawks, Vernon Hills Cougars and Lake County Lightning Black.

Food and drink, children's activities provided by Stevenson's Students Helping Soldiers Club, a home run hitting contest for adults, a sports memorabilia silent auction, a 50/50 raffle, and boutiques selling jewelry, handbags, books, novelty sports items and personalized items are part of the day.
