Sign youth up for tennis in Elgin

The Elgin Junior Tennis Association is offering summer camps.

A camp for youth entering eighth to 12th grade will be held in two sessions from 8 to 9:30 a.m. Tuesdays and Thursdays at the Elgin High School tennis courts. Session I will be June 8-24. Session II will be July 13-29. Cost is $35 per session. Call camp director Larry DeHaan at (847) 888-5100, ext. 8133. A junior tennis camp for youth entering third to eighth grade will be held from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. Tuesdays and Thursdays. Session I will be June 8-24 and Session II will be July 13-29. Cost is $30 per session.

They also will offer "Quick Start Tennis" for beginners, with rackets available. For details, contact camp director Jan LaBar at (847) 741-217 or jlabar@comcast.net. Camps are for beginner to advanced players. Visit elgintennis.org for registration form. Scholarships are available for those in need of financial aid.
