Bartlett voters can write their own ending

After I attended the last Bartlett village board meeting Dec. 6, I came home and tried to relax with my family. We were watching “The Grinch Who Stole Christmas” and that’s when it hit me.

The mean, green, animated villain is a lot like our newly appointed (hopefully very temporary) mayor. Both Mr. Airdo and the Grinch sought to ruin things for the happy villagers.

Both used others. Except, Max the dog was forced to strap on the fake antlers and Mr. Shipman, Mr. Martin and Mr. Napolitano eagerly charged downhill at the unsuspecting town. Nobody liked when the Grinch stole the presents and nobody likes what these disgraceful men have done to a genuinely kind, caring man, Mike Kelly.

We all know the Grinch enjoyed a happy ending to his story. He wasn’t able to ruin Christmas and his heart grew. We, the residents of Bartlett, get to write the ending for Mr. Airdo and his pals ... no votes. THE END!
