Illinois needs Kirk, a fiscal conservative

Mark Kirk is a fiscal conservative who was a co-sponsor of the Balanced Budget Amendment, voted against the trillion-dollar stimulus bill which has failed and only increased our deficit and stood against attempts to raise America's debt ceiling. In early 2008, Rep. Kirk became the first member of the House Appropriations Committee to swear off earmarks. Alexi Giannoulias not only supports the trillion-dollar stimulus, he said "It should have been even bigger." He has been quiet on Illinois' growing debt crisis and supported the trillion-dollar health care bill, which adds over one billion dollars to the state budget deficit. Mark Kirk has the courage to make the tough but absolutely necessary choices that we're seeing countries like Britain finally come to terms with as their deficits grow.
