Montini splits a pair at Sterling

Montini 54, Rockford Lutheran 47:

Tianna Brown powered in 23 points and 15 rebounds, and the No. 4 Broncos (11-2) bounced back from an earlier loss at the Sterling Shootout. Nikia Edom added 12 points. Rachel Konieczki scored 13 points for Rockford Lutheran (10-2), which was 40-1 over its last 41 games before this weekend.

Peoria Richwoods 46, Montini 33:

Nikia Edom scored 11 points at the Sterling Shootout for the Broncos, who struggled with 30 turnovers and 5-of-16 free-throw shooting. Quincy recruit Maggie Cunningham poured in 24 points for Richwoods (11-1).

Benet 60, York 37:

Christen Prasse scored 14 points, and No. 8 Benet wrapped up a perfect 3-0 finish in pool play at the Benet/Naperville North Tournament. Sidney Prasse added 10 points and Nicole Valentine and Madeline Eilers 9 apiece for the Redwings (10-4), who won their sixth straight game. Anna Bell Lansdowne scored 9 points for No. 10 York (7-6).

Bartlett 77, West Chicago 49:

Haley Videckis scored 18 points, and No. 1 Bartlett (13-0) raced out to a 40-10 halftime lead in West Chicago. Laura Panicali scored 16 points, Claire Monroe 13 and Allie Tapanes 10 for No. 13 West Chicago (6-4).

Zion-Benton 56, Lake Park 54:

Alexis Hahn poured in a season-high 28 points, but the Lancers (5-6) lost a squeaker at the Mundelein Tournament.

Naperville Central 58, Oswego East 45:

Jill D'Amico tossed in 20 points and Emma Donahue and Jamie Cuny added 11 apiece for the No. 12 Redhawks (6-5).

Wheaton Academy 42, Chicago Christian 38:

Sarah Drury scored 14 points, and the Warriors outscored Chicago Christian 15-9 in the fourth quarter to rally in West Chicago. Kat Maret added 8 points and Renatta Gorski 8 rebounds for Wheaton Academy (7-4, 4-1 Suburban Christian Conference Gold).
