Police: Minn. mechanic dies in Wis. work accident
LA CROSSE, Wis. — Wisconsin authorities say a Minnesota mechanic who was working underneath a vehicle has died after it fell on him.
La Crosse police say 49-year-old Kevin Ryan of Winona, Minn., was killed Wednesday afternoon.
A co-worker says Ryan was working on a vehicle about 12:40 p.m. when it fell. The co-worker called 911 and Ryan was rushed to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
A La Crosse Tribune report says the accident is being investigated by OSHA, the federal Occupational Safety and Health Administration.
