Girl Scout anniversary talk in Lake Zurich

Girl Scout speaker Suzy Marshalla will be at the Ela Historical Society and Museum to talk about the organization’s upcoming 100th anniversary. The talk is Sunday, Jan. 15 at 2 p.m. at the historical society, 95 East Main St., Lake Zurich. Girl Scouting celebrates its 100 years in February 2012 and as part of that event, the society has created a display that includes uniforms, crafts, badges and more. The society is open the first Saturday and every Thursday of each month from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. For information call (847) 438-2086
