Dist. 95 officials seeking candidates for vacancy on board

John Kropf’s recent resignation from the Lake Zurich Unit District 95 school board has left a vacancy officials are trying to fill.

Kropf quit the seven-member panel Dec. 2 because he is moving out of the district, which makes him ineligible to serve. The resignation was effective immediately.

Kropf’s term expires in spring 2013. The remaining board members are seeking candidates interested in finishing that term.

Anyone interested in applying for the vacant seat should send a letter of interest and a resume of their qualifications before Dec. 16 to: school board President Kathy Brown, Community Unit School District 95, 400 S. Old Rand Road, Lake Zurich, IL 60047.

Candidates must be at least 18 years old, residents of the district for at least one year and registered voters.

Officials hope to fill the vacancy as quickly as possible.
