Goalie Eddie Lack lifts Chicago Wolves to win
Goaltender Eddie Lack racked up 31 saves as the Chicago Wolves rallied for a 2-1 victory over the Toronto Marlies on Sunday afternoon at Allstate Arena in Rosemont.
Tim Miller and Bill Sweatt recorded goals for the Wolves (13-10-1-3), who scored twice during a 2:02 stretch in the first period.
“Toronto is a good, grinding team and gave us some difficult looks tonight,” said Wolves coach Craig MacTavish. “We were fortunate to capitalize on two chances and were able to hang on.”
With the North Division-leading Marlies (15-10-3-1) leading 1-0, Miller scored at 7:04 of the first period with assists going to Sebastian Erixon and Ryan Parent. Sweatt netted what proved to be the game-winner at 8:48 on an assist from Darren Haydar.
