Trane lays off 98 in La Crosse
LA CROSSE, Wis. — One of the largest employers in La Crosse is laying off nearly 100 workers.
About half of the 98 people at Trane facilities will lose their jobs Monday and the remaining employees the following Monday, Dec. 19. Trane’s parent company, Ingersoll Rand, said in a statement that international orders for Trane’s CenTraVac product have declined, making the layoffs necessary.
WXOW-TV cites La Crosse Area Chamber of Commerce figures which show Trane employs 2,350 full-time workers, making it the city’s fourth largest employer.
