Wis. school restricts access after alleged assault
MEQUON, Wis. — Officials with a high school in Mequon have announced new restrictions on the use of the building after school hours following allegations that two members of the football team sexually assaulted a 14-year-old girl.
The Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel reportsHomestead High Principal Brett Bowers sent parents a letter that explained starting Tuesday the school will be locked at 3:30 p.m. Students must leave if they aren’t involved in a meeting or another gathering. Those who don’t could be issued a municipal citation for “unauthorized presence on school property.”
Two 18-year-olds were charged Friday with sexual assault of a child under 16. The girl says in a criminal complaint that the alleged incident happened Nov. 3 at an open practice room at the school campus.
