Wolves’ winning streak ends

MILWAUKEE — The Chicago Wolves saw their three-game winning streak snapped with a 4-2 Amtrak Rivalry loss to the Milwaukee Admirals on Wednesday night at the Bradley Center.

Forwards Steve Reinprecht and Darren Haydar scored for the Wolves, who were defeated for just the second time in its last eight contests. The Wolves fell to 15-11-1-3.

) opened scoring with a power-play goal at 5:45 of the first period when Reinprecht snapped home the rebound of defenseman Kevin Connauton’s shot past Admirals goaltender Jeremy Smith.

After Milwaukee took a 2-1 lead early in the second period, Haydar brought the Wolves even at 2-2 when he took a feed from Reinprecht and sent a shot from the near circle over the stick of Smith at 7:36 of the middle frame.

Just over five minutes later, though, Milwaukee scored again to take a lead it would not relinquish.
