Nebraska man arrested in Wisconsin girl’s disappearance

LAKE GENEVA, Wis. — A 21-year-old Nebraska man is due in court in southern Wisconsin Tuesday afternoon after he was found in a hotel room with a 13-year-old girl who had been reported missing.

An Amber Alert was issued late Monday in the disappearance of the Lake Geneva girl. The alert on broadcast stations lets the public know when a child is possibly abducted. Until the two were found, the girl was last seen with the man Sunday afternoon in Lake Geneva.

WISN-TV reports police located the two later Monday at a hotel in Elkhorn, about 14 miles away. The man is being held in the Walworth County Jail and is scheduled to appear in Walworth County Circuit Court.
