Novatek third-quarter profit declines 17%. Matching estimates

OAO Novatek, Russia’s second-largest natural gas producer, said third-quarter profit fell 17 percent as ruble depreciation led to a foreign exchange loss.

Net income declined to 8.41 billion rubles ($276 million) from 10.1 billion rubles a year earlier, the Tarko-Sale, Siberia-based gas producer said in a statement today. That matched the average estimate of analysts surveyed by Bloomberg.
