Agreement reached in Algoma high school case

ALGOMA, Wis. — A restraining order request filed by the family of a northeastern Wisconsin high school student against the school district administrator has been dismissed.

A 16-year-old student accused Algoma School District Superintendent Ronald Welch of pushing him in the chest and grabbing his face and arm during a disciplinary meeting Oct. 12 at the high school.

WLUK-TV reportsthose involved have reached an agreement which calls for no contact between the teen and Welch.

Welch has said the Algoma School Board has reviewed the incident and found he did not violate any policies.

No criminal charges have been filed.
