Ela historical presentation:

The Ela Historical Society and Museum will host a presentation on Nov. 20 at 2 p.m. on the Ela Township response to the attack on Fort Sumter that started the Civil War. The presentation will be made by Bill Kiddle, a retired educator from Lake Zurich Unit District 95, at the society’s headquarters at 95 E. Main St., Lake Zurich. The technology of the day and socioeconomic conditions will be discussed, and there will be a question and answer period. For information, call the historical society at (847) 438-2086.
