Scouting report: After serving as the varsity assistant last season, Colleen Sullivan takes over the program. She has one returning starter back, senior forward Rowland. “Jayna is a consistent outside shooter and playmaker,” Sullivan said. Rowland and Baric, who saw a lot of action at post last season, are co-captains. “I see no reason why we can’t have a winning record this season, as good things happen when you play smart and play hard for the greater glory of God,” Sullivan said. “We will likely have more balanced scoring production than last year.” Sophomores Hernandez, Barclay and Megan Sullivan have good speed. “They consistently play good fundamental basketball with a never-quit attitude,” Colleen Sullivan said. “Shelbi has a good shooting touch and speed at the center position.” Freshman Moriarty will start many games at the two guard, and should complement Rowland’s shooting production. Krizanovic, an all-area softball catcher, joins the basketball program for the first time. “She is as accurate passing a basketball, as she is throwing out runners leading off bases or stealing second,” coach Sullivan said.
