The skinny: Northwestern played without injured regulars Drew Crawford, JerShon Cobb and Alex Marcotullio in last Monday’s exhibition win over Robert Morris. The Wildcats started two freshman guards, Dave Sobolewski (Benet Academy) and Tre Demps, who combined to score 28 points. Pan American, which started no one taller than 6-feet-5, was a friendly opening opponent in Friday’s 91-72 loss to DePaul.
