S. Ind. jail inmate’s death ruled of natural cause

WASHINGTON, Ind. — Authorities say a southern Indiana jail inmate died this week of natural causes.

State police say 55-year-old Dean Stevens of Bicknell told Daviess County Jail guards he wasn’t feeling well. He was taken to a hospital, but died on Wednesday.

An autopsy determined Stevens died of a heart condition and liver failure.

Stevens was awaiting trial on methamphetamine dealing charges.
