S. Ind. man in custody after estranged wife fatally stabbed
JEFFERSONSVILLE, Ind. — Police have arrested a southern Indiana man on charges that he fatally stabbed his estranged wife inside her car after she arrived to pick up their two children.
The attack happened Sunday afternoon at a Jeffersonville apartment complex. City police detective Todd Hollis says the couple was separated and that 46-year-old Edward Bagshaw was arrested by officers at the scene.
Neighbor Ronnie Downing tells WHAS-TV and WLKY-TV that the window blinds were open at Bagshaw's apartment and it appeared the children saw the attack on 30-year-old Kelly Bagshaw. Police say the two young children are safe with relatives.
Edward Bagshaw is being held in the Clark County Jail without bond. Records didn't immediately list a defense attorney.
