Bus vandalism closes C. Indiana school district

INDIANAPOLIS — A suburban Indianapolis school district has canceled classes for the day after vandals damaged numerous buses.

The damage to the Warren Township district buses was discovered before dawn Monday, after which district officials first delayed the start of school before deciding to cancel classes.

WISH-TV reports that at least 18 buses were damaged at the district’s bus facility on the east side of Indianapolis.

The district didn’t immediately release details on the extent of the vandalism, but batteries were taken from at least some of the buses.
